Professor of Mathematics Debra Boutin gave two presentations at the Canadian Discrete and Algorithmic Mathematics Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. The talks were titled "New Techniques in the Cost of 2-Distinguishing Hypercubes" and "Geometric Homomorphisms and the Geochromatic Number."
These presentations addressed new techniques and results in coloring distinct types of graphs - those defined as abstract graphs and those defined with a fixed but arbitrary realization in two dimensions.
