Briana O'Hare '03 was a recipient of the Women's Bond Club of New York "Rising Star" Award on April 29. Established in 1921, the Women's Bond Club of New York is one of the oldest professional organizations for women in finance. The Women's Bond Club provides education, mentoring and networking opportunities for women in finance and finance-related industries. Every year at the club's Merit Award Dinner, the Rising Star award is given to a nominee from each corporate member firm. This honor is given to young women who are in the early stages of their careers, with 5-8 years of industry experience, who have already demonstrated leadership qualities, and are expected to be future leaders.
O'Hare is entering her sixth year in the industry. She started in the legal department of Nomura Global Financial Product Inc. (NGFP) in May 2004, and in 2007 was promoted to assistant vice president, and moved to a business development/revenue generating role in the Credit Investment Group (CIG) of NSI.
