Austin Briggs, the Hamilton B. Tompkins Professor of English, Emeritus, delivered a lecture to an audience of more than 200 people on Feb. 11 at the Bellas Artes Cultural Center in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The talk, “James Joyce's Ulysses and the Scandal of Molly Bloom,” was delivered on behalf of PEN, an international organization promoting freedom of expression world-wide.
