Austin Briggs

Austin Briggs, the Hamilton B. Tompkins Professor of English Literature, Emeritus, was active at the North American James Joyce Conference held in Mexico City June 12-16.

He delivered a paper – "Seven Types of Joycean Ambiguity and What to Do With Them" – on a panel – "Nes Yo: Living with the Irresolvable in Joyce" – that he organized and chaired. In addition, he co-organized and co-moderated two reading sessions on Ulysses.
