As thousands of people poured into Hamilton's field house anxiously waiting for former President Jimmy Carter to arrive for a campus lecture, Justin Ginsberg was there, capturing the excitement on live radio.

"It was great being amidst all this chaos, asking people why they were there," said Justin, who hosts a weekly show on WHCL, the College radio station. "With live radio, you never know what you're going to get." Among his guests that night was a Secret Service agent.

"Justinio on the Radio," is a one-hour combination of humor, call-ins, prize giveaways and serious discussion of campus issues. "I launched the show when I was a first-year student and it took off slowly," Justin said. "Then I started getting guests on the show and it has grown exponentially."

Justin has hosted the College's president, campus safety director, registrar, representatives of the book store and food service, and director of the student health center. "We try to focus on a theme. I invite guests to talk about a serious topic and then mix in a little fun," he said. In fact, he isn't afraid to push the envelope and take radio where it's never gone. Justin has hosted some offbeat guests, such as a balloon animal designer, whom callers tried to stump with unusual requests, and a mime. "I asked him questions and the response was complete silence, of course," he said.

Justin, who is also WHCL production manager, had never done radio before coming to Hamilton. "I knew I wanted to try it when I came here," he said. "Having the 'Justinio' show is an opportunity for me to express what I think is a good sense of humor in an entertaining way. It's a fresh new WHCL."
