Kris grew up in Brooklyn, NY, studying classical cello and playing with folksingers, jazz bands, and subway troubadours on the side. After leaving New York, fate deposited her in a one-room Maine house in midwinter, where she learned guitar and fiddle as a way to fend off cabin fever. A few years later and many musical adventures later, Kris had made her way to the Boston area where she has quickly taken her place among the most promising of the city's new generation of songwriters.
On stage, Kris relates to her audience without pretense and plays with infectious joy. Through her busy playing schedule and steady CD sales, she continues to win over fans throughout the country. Kris's skills on cello, fiddle, and voice are in constant demand.
