A delegation from Capital University of Economics and Business, host of Hamilton's Associated Colleges in China (ACC) program, visited Hamilton Sept. 26-29.

Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) is a merger of the Beijing College of Economics and the Beijing Trade and Finance Institute. Founded in 1958, CUEB has developed into a comprehensive educational institution with an emphasis on economic management covering six major areas: economics, management, science of law, literature, science and engineering. The new president of CUEB, Kui Wen, was invited by president Joan Stewart to visit Hamilton (as well as three other ACC consortium schools) to discuss how furthering the quality of the program will advance the collaboration between the two school and to explore other areas of cooperation such as the exchange of faculty. President Wen extended a formal invitation to President Stewart to visit to CUEB in the near future; he and Hamilton
administration expressed an interest in exploring other possibilities of faculty collaboration and exchanges.

After visiting Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, president Wen, accompanied by director of international exchange Jian Ping Liu and program coordinator Huang Li Wei, came to Hamilton for a two-day whirlwind tour.   After their stay at Hamilton, they visited Williams College in Massachusetts and then to Minnesota State University. They visited with several departments and faculty and enjoyed a special Chinese Language Table that included more than 50 Chinese language students.
