Wei-Jen Chang
Assistant Professor of Biology Wei-Jen Chang represented Hamilton's Sigma Xi chapter in the Sigma Xi annual business meeting held in Orlando from Nov. 1 - 4. Sigma Xi is a scientific research society founded in 1886. Hamilton College chapter members include faculty at several local colleges, institutions in other regions, scientists in non-academic roles, and loyal alumni.

A small portion of these 93 active members sustain local activities of the chapter. In recent years full members have inducted an average of 25 Hamilton student associate members per year. During this annual meeting Chang exchanged ideas with delegates from other chapters on how to promote undergraduate research in liberal arts institutions. He has also been elected into the nomination committee in the baccalaureate colleges constituency group.
