Chen and Higgins ’27 Present at International Conference

Assistant Professor of Anthropology Spencer Chen and Senior Fellow Carter Higgins ’27 presented their co-authored paper titled “#grindrtale: Modulated Sociality, Narrated Intimacies, and Mediated Desires on Grindr” at Lavender Languages and Linguistics 32: Queer (dis)belonging at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, U.K., on Sept. 3.

According to its website, “The Lavender Languages and Linguistics conference is an international conference for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and other underrepresented global sexual and gender identities and expressions related queer language research and discourse studies. It provides a place for emerging queer linguistics scholarship.”
