Cheng Li, the William R. Kenan Professor of Government, was interviewed and quoted in a Business Week
article titled "Mr. Hu Comes to Washington" which appears in the
magazine's September 12 issue. The article discusses Chinese
President Hu Jintao's upcoming visit to the United States and how his
meetings with President Bush will shape future China-U.S. relations. Li
is quoted as saying, "He [Hu] has moved China from GDP-driven growth to
people-centered growth." Li was also interviewed about Hu for the
Financial Times and the Los Angeles Times and will participate in
a live call-in TV show with the Voice of America on Monday, September 5.
