Since last fall, Professor of Cinema and Media Studies Scott MacDonald has published several articles on The Edge, an online journal from the Park Center for Independent Media.
His work has included a featured commentary titled “Is the Video Essay a New Avant-Garde?” and a piece about Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa.
Most recently, MacDonald has written on “How Bill Morrison’s ‘Incident’ Accesses Police Body Cams to Give Voice to a Crime,” and “Bipolar Ecocinema,” about two films – one that “explores dimensions of the ever-expanding accumulation of waste,” and another that lets viewers get up close and personal with “the world of moths.”
