Professor of Mathematics Sally Cockburn presented "Preimages of Geometric Cycles" on June 1 at the fifth biennial Canadian Discrete and Algorithmic Mathematics Conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Geometric graphs consist of nodes and straight lines and can be used to model the layout of networks. Those that can be mapped to geometric cycles display a particular relationship between the node adjacency and edge crossing structures.
