The Colby College offense amassed 411 yards of total offense as they beat Hamilton College, 48-14 today at Steuben Field.

Hamilton opened the scoring in the first quarter as they took the opening kickoff, marching 63 yards. Hamilton quarterback Robbie Peters (East Hampton, NY) dove ahead for the one yard score, Greg Bemis (Enfield, CT) added the point after making the score, 7-0 Hamilton.

Colby then went on a 41-0 run to pull away. White Mule's kicker Keith Jonassen (Albion, ME) made a 26-yard field goal, making the score 7-3, Hamilton with just over eight minutes to go in the first quarter. The first quarter ended with another Colby score. Joe Murray (Winthrop, MA) scored on a three-yard run, giving Colby a lead they would not relinquish.

In the second quarter Colby blew the game wide open as they scored 24 points. Thomas Keblin (Bolton, MA) scored on a four-yard run with 7:21 to go in the quarter. On their next offensive possession the White Mules capitalized on a blocked punt as Jared Beers (Kittery, ME) scooped up the loose ball and scored from five yards out. With 3:28 to go in the quarter Colby struck again on a two yard pass from quarterback Matt Smith (Middlebury, VT) to Pete Hans (Ridgewood, NJ). Jonassen closed the half with a 22-yard field goal making the score 34-7 Colby at the half. Neither team could score in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Colby add on 14 more points. The first came on a 17-yard pass from Smith to Daniel Noyes (Silver Lake, NH). Guido Joseph (Hyannis, MA) ran it in from one yard out. Hamilton tallied a late touchdown on a 1-yard run by running back Chris McCarthy (Somerville, MA).

Hamilton is 0-5 on the season and will face Williams next Saturday. Colby goes to 2-3 on the year and will host Bates.
