Comedian and satirist Andy Borowitz P'11 will perform at Hamilton on Thursday, April 16, at 8 p.m. in the Fillius Events Barn. This event is hosted by the Hamilton College Democrats, and it is free and open to the public.

Borowitz graduated from Harvard College, where he was president of the renowned humor magazine, the Harvard Lampoon. In 1990 he was a creator of the hit sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" which ran for six seasons on NBC and launched the acting career of Will Smith.  In 2004, he received the first-ever National Press Club Award for Humor for his satirical Web site "The Borowitz Report," which publishes fictional news stories on a weekly basis. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker and The Huffington Post

In 2005 the newspaper syndicator Creators Syndicate began syndicating The Borowitz Report to dozens of major newspapers including The Los Angeles Times, The Seattle Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. It is also one of the longest-running features at the Newsweek Web site.

Borowitz's success as a television performer led to his becoming a strong draw as a stand-up comedian, and he started headlining at major comedy clubs across the country, including Caroline's on Broadway.
