Constitution Day Lecture to Feature Prof. Robert Martin
In honor of Constitution Day, Professor of Government Robert Martin will speak on the topic “Occupying Philadelphia in 1787: The Constitution’s Critics and the Birth of American Democratic Culture,” on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m., in the Red Pit, KJ. The talk is free and open to the public.
Martin is the author of a new book, Government by Dissent: Protest, Resistance and Radical Democratic Thought in the Early American Republic. Ten copies of the book will be distributed to randomly selected attendees. Sponsored by the President's Office and the Government Department.
