Director of Counseling and Psychological Services David Walden was recently elected to the national board of directors of the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors (AUCCCD).
According to a press release announcing his selection, the AUCCCD is the world’s largest organization of campus mental health leaders, and in his role as a board member, Walden “will have the vantage point of guiding campus mental health policy and initiatives at the highest levels.”
The press release notes that Walden’s election by AUCCCD membership “highlights not only [his] contributions nationally, but is a significant recognition of [him] as a national leader” in campus mental health.
Walden is also a lecturer in psychology.
