Associate Professor of Theatre Mark Cryer presented “Acting Exercises for Day One” on Aug. 3 at the Association of Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) Conference in Washington, D.C.
Cryer said he believes that many instructors miss an opportunity to set the tone for the class and the semester by using the first class for syllabus and questions and then releasing students early. He presented three exercises that can be used to allow the learning process to begin on day one.
