Professor of Geology Eugene Domack led a trip to Antarctica that was featured in the Jan. 31 issue of the Syracuse Post-Standard.  Four Hamilton College students participated in the five-week trip.  This program immerses students in a research environment that most undergraduates do not have the opportunity to experience.  The goal for this research is to better understand global climate change through analysis of the ice covering Antarctica.

Domack has been to the continent 12 times for research...conquering the South Pole was never his purpose..."I like to see the students experience the environment."
