I recently met with an alumna of Hamilton in Chicago to thank her for her gift made during the challenge period. After being thanked she replied, “You are welcome. My Hamilton experience has served me well my entire post-graduate life, and I am not surprised the challenges were met. I know of no one who attended Hamilton who would aspire to come in second.” The comment rang true to me. Part of the Hamilton ethos is to do one’s utmost and excel, and this truism applies to alumni philanthropy as well. Through gifts to the Annual Fund, Hamiltonians demonstrate the value they place in connections with their classmates, their regard for the College, and their desire to help current students succeed.
It is gratifying to know that Hamilton’s Annual Fund supports the preparation of promising students to become leaders in an increasingly complex global community. At a five percent endowment draw, each contribution to the Annual Fund is the equivalent of an endowment 20 times greater than that amount. Financial support for our College is a nearly 200-year tradition that links Hamiltonians of every era.
With deepest gratitude,
