Assistant Professor of Biology Cynthia Downs presented an invited lecture on Oct. 5 at the University of South Dakota.
In her talk, “Linking mechanisms and functions through ecophysiology: lessons from mice and elk,” Downs used her research to illustrate the idea that understanding physiological mechanisms improves our understanding of how an organism functions in its environment.
