
Hamilton College graduate Dr. Deborah Massell '80 recently performed "The Perfume of the Lily: The Mystical Vocal Music of Lili Boulanger (1893-1918)" as part of the Crane Academic Forum Series at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Massell, a soprano, joined Crane's faculty in 2000 with more than two decades in musical performance after obtaining her Master's degree from the Mannes College of Music in 1999. Massell has performed at concert venues such as the United Nations, operas houses such as the Salzburg Mozarteum, and with groups such as the Mexico City Orchestra. At Hamilton, Massell was involved in drama, theater, choir, and Kirkland activities and went on to obtain her doctorate's degree from the University of Montreal. Currently, Massell stays active in the Hamilton community by volunteering on the Performing Arts Advisory Committee.
