A book review by Associate Professor of History John Eldevik has appeared in the most recent issue of the American Historical Review (June 2018).
Eldevik writes on Frederick Barbarossa: The Prince and the Myth by John B. Freed, a monumental biography of the medieval emperor who ruled Germany and parts of Italy from 1152 to 1190, and the first major work on Barbarossa to appear in English in many decades.
