Ann Owen, the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of Economics, was interviewed by Marketplace Senior Reporter Nancy Marshall-Genzer for a segment focused on departing Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen’s economic legacy. When asked to grade Yellen’s performance, Owen, a former Federal Reserve Board of Governors economist, gave Yellen an “A” on the Jan. 30 broadcast. Owen noted that Yellen met the Fed’s two major objectives, keeping inflation stable and unemployment low.
