Students in Professor Aaron Strong's Environmental Studies 305: Climate Risk and Resilience gave final presentations of their climate change risk assessment for the village of Clinton on Dec. 3, with Clinton community members and Clinton Mayor John Crossley in the audience.
The students' findings highlight increased risks from flooding with future climate change. They are also helping the village of Clinton become a Clean Energy Community by conducting a greenhouse gas inventory for the village, something for which the mayor was very thankful.
Students in the course also presented their assessments of climate change risk for the Hamilton campus and for nearby farms to Facilities Management and local farmers.
