Cameron Paine ’94

Cameron Paine ’94 was recently named eXp Realty’s senior vice president of industry relations. eXp Realty is the largest residential real estate brokerage by geography in North America with over 13,000 agents, and subsidiary of eXp World Holdings, Inc. In his new role, Paine will be responsible for representing eXp in the real estate industry as well as collaborating with current and potential partners.

Scott Petronis, the company’s chief product and technology officer, said, “I’ve known Cameron for nearly 10 years and have watched with excitement the fantastic work he’s done to bring industry influencers together. Cameron’s experience will advance eXp Realty’s goal of creating strong relationships among the entire real estate ecosystem.”

Paine has been recognized by Inman News as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in Real Estate.” He was the founding CEO of the Connecticut Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and just last year was able to engineer a successful merger between his company and a neighboring one to create SmartMLS. Today, SmartMLS is one of the top 20 largest Multiple Listing Services in the country.

Additionally, he has served on the board of directors for the Council of Multiple Listing Services and on advisory councils for Realtor.com and Trulia. Paine created the concept for the Broker Public Portal (now Homesnap), which is a public-facing website owned and controlled by a collaboration of brokers and Multiple Listing Services, and served on the board of directors and executive committee.
