The second event in the Hamilton College Theatre Department series Art and the Stage: Design for the Theatre will be “Fashion and Costume: John Galliano and The Learned Ladies” with costume designer Amy Petta on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 4:10 p.m., in Minor Theater. The lecture is free and open the public.

Petta has been working with Hamilton College since 1994, and has designed and realized costumes for more than 25 productions in conjunction with the Theatre Department. A graduate of the masters of fine arts program at the State University of New York at Purchase, Petta was until very recently with the Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection in New York City, where she served as the associate director for 10 years. She is costume designer for the upcoming student theatre production of The Learned Ladies.
