Associate Professor of Theatre Mark Cryer recently finished filming Confession, a feature film in which he plays the role of a prisoner. Described in a news report by its director, the film is a “crime/thriller” with a deep “web of mystery, murder, and deception.” It includes scenes that were filmed in the Syracuse, N.Y., area. A release date is not known.
Cryer is also set to begin filming for an international film titled Diaries of an Exchange Student in which he will play the role of a judge. Release is expected later this year in Brazil.
Next month, Cryer will play Bono in a production of Fences, a play by August Wilson. The show runs from March 26 through April 5 at Redhouse Arts Center on South Salina Street in Syracuse.
