If the first two presidential debates showcased the candidates mastery if the issues, the final face-to-face meeting tonight between Vice President Al Gore and Texas Gov. George W. Bush is expected to test how much they have mastered the art of empathy. "It's going to be an empathy fest," said Philip Klinkner, a professor of government at Hamilton College in New York. "Each one wants to show that he is the one who best understands voters' real concerns. People have gotten used to seeing empathy with Clinton, and they will be looking for it Tuesday."
