The Legendary Pictures creative team has selected the top five finalists who will pitch their film story ideas to the creative team in a public forum on Thursday, April 2, at 6:30 in the Fillius Events Barn.
The finalists and their film titles are Ryan Cadigan '11, The Hooded One; Nicole Dietsche '09, Anomaly; Kyla Gorman '09, The Exiles; Sarah Maas '08, Superheroes and Mary-Janes; and William Welles '08, In Fear.
Thomas Tull '92, chairman and CEO of Legendary Pictures, is sponsoring the 2008-09 Legendary Film Treatment Challenge. Open to all current Hamilton students and the Class of 2008, the challenge offered an exclusive opportunity for participants to submit a three-five page story idea for a sci-fi, action adventure, horror or fantasy motion picture. Treatments were due last fall, after which time a campus selection committee chose the top 10.
These semifinalists were then judged by the Legendary Creative Team, who narrowed the field to the five who will pitch their ideas to the Legendary Creative Team on April 2. The winning treatment will undergo a thorough creative and commercial analysis by Legendary's group of production company professionals.
