Four Hamilton College athletes were honored by the Liberty League on Jan. 24 when the league announced its weekly award winners.

Ken Click '13 (Stony Point, N.Y./Don Bosco Prep HS [N.J.]) was selected to the men's basketball team of the week, while Eliza Howe '13 (Westport, Conn./Staples HS) made the women's basketball team of the week. Both are on the team for the second time this season.

In men's indoor track and field, Peter Kosgei '11 (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Boys' School) was a co-track performer of the week pick, and Sam Reider '14 (Slingerlands, N.Y./Bethlehem Central HS) was a co-rookie of the week honoree.

Click averaged 12 points and 3.5 rebounds as Hamilton (9-5 overall, 3-2 Liberty) won two league games on the road. He shot 63 percent (12-19) from the field and added four blocked shots. He ranks fourth in the league in field goal percentage at 51 percent, and second with 1.21 blocked shots per game.

Howe averaged 18 points and 4.5 rebounds in two league games for Hamilton (5-7 overall, 0-5 Liberty). She shot 54 percent (14-26) from the field and added five assists, two blocked shots and two steals. She ranks 15th in the league in scoring with 11.5 points per game, eighth in field goal percentage at 44.1 percent and 10th in 3-point field goal percentage at 35.3 percent.

Kosgei finished first in the 3,000-meter run as Hamilton hosted the non-team scoring Continental Invitational on Saturday. His time of 8:40.35 was more than seven seconds ahead of the runner-up, and it qualified him for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III championships.

Reider finished fifth out of 14 athletes in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.93 seconds as Hamilton hosted the non-team scoring Continental Invitational on Saturday. He also helped Hamilton to third place in the 800-meter relay, running the second leg toward a team time of 1:38.44.
