Amy Gaffney
Amy Gaffney, director of the Oral Communication Center, recently presented at the National Association of Communication Centers annual Excellence at the Center conference at Arizona State University's West Valley Campus in Phoenix.

Her paper was about the impact of tutoring on students' satisfaction and confidence in appointments run by tutors both within and outside of the student's discipline. 

In addition, Breeze Petty ’24 presented a paper on the impact of a winter intensive program organized by the Oral Communication Center. This paper earned Petty the Bob and Ann Weiss Award for an undergraduate paper that contributes to scholarly activity focused on communication centers. 

Petty was also honored with the National Communication Association's Outstanding Undergraduate Tutor award.
