The Hamilton College Department ofTheatre and Dance presents a special preview performance by Gams on the Lam,the DeWitt, N.Y. based comedy trio. The troupe will perform "The Way," onTuesday, April 1, at 8 p.m. in the Minor Theater. Admission is $3 for studentsand $5 for the general public.

_Gams on the Lam is a physical theater company that creates original piecesusing clown and slapstick comedy. Directed by John Plummer, actresses PatriciaBuckley, Leslie Noble and Lauren Unbekant have performed at theaters, festivalsand universities throughout the U.S. and Canada, and have been featured onCanada's BRAVO TV live performance series. Their unique urban style clowningis a comic exploration of women's experiences. Using a highly energizedcombination of clown, mime and slapstick, their performances are bold, kineticand highly entertaining.

_"The Way" was commissioned by Contemporary Theater of Syracuse, Patrick J.O'Connor, producing director. Accidents and adventure await, as The Gams turna simple road trip, into a psychedelic experience. Theatre Week Magazinesaid, "The Gams may have taken a wrong turn on the map, but they know theroute to an audience's heart." The work was commissioned with public fundsfrom the Individual Artists Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.For tickets and information, call 859-4057.
