Assistant Professor of Literature Pavitra Sundar recently presented a paper at the National Women’s Studies Association Conference in San Francisco. She discussed “Listening, Loving, Longing: Desire in Aligarh” as a member of a panel on “Disruptive Frames: Cultural Forms and the Politics of Gender.”
Sundar also presented this work at the Annual Conference on South Asia in Madison, Wis., where she co-organized a panel on the “sonic turn” in South Asian studies with her colleague Praseeda Gopinath of Binghamton University.
