Genworth Financial Inc. has named Hamilton graduate Ronald Joelson '80 as Chief Investment Officer, with responsibility over Genworth’s nearly $70 billion investment portfolio.  Prior to Genworth, Joelson served as Managing Director of Insurance Strategic Markets Coverage at JP Morgan Asset Management, New York.  After graduating Hamilton with Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Government, Joelson went on to obtain an M.B.A. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business in 1983.  In 1984, Joelson joined Prudential Financial in Newark, New Jersey and held several different positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer from 2000-07, until he left the company in July of 2007.  While at Hamilton, Joelson was involved in music and was a member of Chi Psi fraternity and stays active in the Hamilton community as a Career Center volunteer.
