Barbara Gold, the Edward North Professor of Classics, presented a paper in Philadelphia on Oct. 12 at the annual meeting of the Classical Association of the Atlantic States.
The paper, “Simone Weil: Receiving the Iliad,” was part of a panel on “Women as Classical Scholars.” Gold also presided over a session on “Classical Reception in Its Cultural Dimensions.”
