
Associate Professor of Art History Steve Goldberg delivered a public lecture in January titled "Chinese Art in an Age of Mongolian Rule: The Yuan Dynasty (1279 – 1368)," at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, in Atlanta.
Also in January, as part of "The Year of China 2005-2006 Celebration" at Kennesaw State University, Goldberg presented another lecture titled, "The Authority of Excellence: What Can Confucius Teach Us About the Art of Chinese Painting?"
Goldberg also presented a paper titled "'Melancholy Overcomes the Boatman:' On the Aesthetic Reception of a Calligraphic Text" on May 4 at a conference on Chinese calligraphy hosted by the University of Maryland.
