Director of Institutional Research Gordon Hewitt will lead this week's Think Tank discussion on "The Academic Labor Movement and What It Tells Us About Higher Education." Think Tank meets on Fridays at noon in KJ 221 (above the Levitt Center in the back). Discussions last for about an hour; a bag lunch is provided or bring your own.

Graduate assistants, adjunct faculty, and postdoctoral researchers are organizing union drives and demanding collective bargaining rights at public and private colleges and universities across the United States.  This discussion will provide a brief history of collective bargaining in higher education and will focus on the reasons behind the current movement.

Think Tank discussions are casual and open to all members of the Hamilton community.  A tasty bag lunch is provided, or you can bring your own.  Why not stop by, bring a friend and have one last intelligent discussion before the weekend?

Think Tank is sponsored by the Levitt Center.
