Professor of Literature and Creative Writing Naomi Guttman will travel to the west coast for a series of poetry readings from March 11-17. She will read new work as well as poems from The Banquet of Donny & Ari: Scenes from the Opera.
Readings will be given:
- Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., as part of the Planet Earth Poetry Series. Planet Earth Poetry is located at Hillside Coffee and Tea, 1633 Hillside Ave. in Victoria, B.C.
- Sunday, March 13, from 3-5 p.m., at White Dog Poetry Salon, 507 NW Skyline Crest Road, Portland, Ore.
- Thursday, March 17, at 5 p.m., in Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University. The event will be held in English Village, University Hall, Suite 3800.
The Banquet of Donny & Ari: Scenes from the Opera, a contemporary reinvention of the story of Dionysus and Ariadne, was published last March by Brick Books.
