Brian Grzymski scored the game-winner at 39:32 of the secondhalf as Hamilton blanked Union 1-0. Grzymski beat Union goalie Jeff Thomas witha low blast off a cross from Brendan Forrest. Mike Heffernan made five saves ingoal to preserve the shutout for Hamilton. Thomas made eight saves for theDutchmen. This was Hamilton's first win in a season opener since a 1987 1-0victory over Clarkson.
