Brian Grady and Chris Baudo each scored two goals to leadHamilton to an ECAC East win over New England, 8-1. Brent Davey made 13 savesin goal to improve to 11-1-1 on the year and Rob Rigg added a goal and and twoassists for the Continentals (12-3-1), who outshot New England, 43-13. TheContinentals broke the game open with four third period goals, three on thepower play.
Hamilton took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Brian Guastella with 3:45 remaining inthe first and the Continentals held New England shotless for the first 19:38 ofthe period. Rob Rigg's breakaway goal gave the Continentals a 2-0 lead early inthe second. New England cut the margin to one on a breakaway goal of its own byDan Brackesy at 10:39 of the second, but the Continentals answered with twoquick tallies, by Brian Grady and Chris Baudo, to make it 4-2 at the end of thesecond. Grady and Baudo also scored in the third, as well as Trevor MacArthurand Jeff Bradley, as the Continentals cruised to the easy win.
