Michael Schantz scored 26 points and grabbed 19 rebounds and Kevin Larson added 23 points as Hamilton cruised to a season-opening win over SUNY Utica-Rome. Hamilton has a 20-0 all-time record against the Wildcats. The Continentals used a 20-0 run over 10 minutes midway through the first half to break the game wide open. 14 of Hamilton's 16 players scored. The Continentals also held a 55-35 rebounding advantage. "You couldn't have asked for a better way to start the season," said Hamilton Head Coach Tom Murphy. Doug Cladwell led the Wildcats, who drop to 0-2, with 11 points.
