Pig Brooch, Inc. was founded by Aurélia Fisher, Justin Tyler and Aaron Wilton in May 2004, when their original play Happy Mundanes, was accepted into the New York International Fringe Festival 2004. Happy Mundanes is a 50-minute silent piece based on Justin Tyler's year-long international street theatre fellowship. After a successful run in NYCFringe, the company began to dedicate their energies to creating new work through the combination of original text and nontraditional theatre styles, from violent surrealism to vaudeville. Love is in the Air was conceived by Dustin Helmer and developed by the Kiek in de Kök Players under the direction of Paul Peers.
