Hamilton Runners, Boilermaker 2007

Billed as the biggest 15K (9.3 mile) race in the United States, the 31st annual Boilermaker will take place this year on Sunday, July 13.  All Hamilton runners, students, alumni, faculty, employees and their families, will gather after the race for a group photo at 10:20-10:25 a.m. at the back corner of the Polish Community Center. Established in 1978, the Boilermaker has been selected by Runners World Magazine and Roadrunners' Clubs of America as one of the top races in the country. The race began with just over 800 runners and a budget of $750.  Now, the Boilermaker is the largest 15K in the nation with more than 11,000 runners. Each year, the race attracts top elite runners from throughout the world, Olympians, world-record holders, and Hamiltonians.
