More than 100 girls are taking part in the 2002 two-week ice hockey camp for girls. Men's varsity ice hockey coach Phil Grady is the director of the camp that is being held through July 19. The top-ranked camp features girls from 11 states. Women's head coaches from Manhattanville College, Utica College, Nichols College and Tilton Prep School join Grady.
Many of the campers are top ranked skaters in their districts, including four all-region players and four Empire State Games team members. Andrea Kilborne and Julie Chu, two members of the 2002 Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team were former students at the camp.
In addtion to on-ice training and games, the campers participate in outdoor shooting and skills sessions, lectures, films, strategy sessions and field sports.
