The Hamilton College Orchestra, conducted by Heather Buchman, will perform its winter concert on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m., at Wellin Hall in the Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

 

The program will include Samuel Barber’s First Essay, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Concerto for Oboe and Strings with Katherine Northway ’11 as oboe soloist, and Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 (Great.)

 

Associate Professor of Music Heather Buchman is music director of the Hamilton College Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, and the chamber music program.
