A concert honoring the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., and featuring Montreal-based musicians Eliza Moore and Jeremy Greene, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. in the Hamilton College Chapel. It is free and open to the public.
Moore and Greene will present original works inspired by Dr. King's message of peace and reconciliation. Using a combination of modern looping technology, voice, percussion and acoustic instruments, Moore and Greene’s music is reminiscent of ancient polyphony crossed with contemporary rhythms and sounds. Dr King's words will also be echoed throughout the performance to help remind us of the purity and relevance of his dream. The concert will provide both a space for meditation and an exploration of sound and collaborative composition.
