HAMILTON DOWNS UCONN, 4-3 - Hamilton College

Chris Baudo had a goal and an assist while Darren Johnston added two assists in leading Hamilton College (12-7-2; 10-4-2 ECAC East) to a 4-3 win over visiting UConn (11-11-0; 9-7-0) Friday night at Sage Rink.

Hamilton jumped on top at the 8:25 mark of the first period on a power-play goal by Rob Rigg and then made the score 2-0 midway through the second period on Baudo's goal. The Huskies cut the lead to 2-1 on a power-play goal of their own by Don Sheehan, but Hamilton pushed the margin back to two with less then nine minutes remaining in the game on aTrevor MacArthur goal. UConn scored to make it 3-2 with less then five minutes remaining, but a Brian Guastella goal on an assist from Baudo put the game away for Hamilton.

The Continentals, who got 35 saves from goalie Brent Davey, have won seven of their last eight games in pursuit of an NCAA Tournament bid.
