Hamilton Boilermaker runners

Assistant Professor of Geosciences Cat Beck was the top local female finisher in the 2018 Boilermaker Road Race on July 8. Beck finished the 15K race with a time of 56 minutes, 33 seconds and was 26th in the women’s open field. Overall, she was the 166th finisher out of more than 11,500. Beck’s husband, Matt Lacey, finished in second place among local men.

Hamilton took this year’s Corporate Cup in the coed-medium division. Team members whose finish times were included in the scoring were Cat Beck, Professor of Mathematics Sally Cockburn, Desktop Administrator, Administrative Facilities Geoff Hale, Christopher Skeldon ’20, and Director of Computer Science Laboratories Jerry Tylutki, the team captain.

Beck and Skeldon were the fastest female and male runners, respectively, among all corporate finishers.

Also running for Hamilton were Doug Ambrose, Katheryn Doran, John Drew, Wei-Fang Lin, Josh Meeks, Jason Quatrino, Kim Reale, David Swartz, Jesse Thomas, Dave Vore, and Jesse Weiner.

The Corporate Cup will be presented during an event at the Boilermaker offices on July 31.
