Students from Hamilton’s Program in New York City recently visited Arthur Levitt Jr. at Bloomberg L.P. Bloomberg is a financial software, data and media company headquartered in Manhattan. Arthur Levitt is an active member of the board as well as the host of Bloomberg Radio’s “A Closer Look With Arthur Levitt.”
As a board member of multiple technology companies and a former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Levitt discussed technological developments within and the regulatory environment of the financial sector. Het also shared with the students his commitment to public service and education and encouraged that the students pursue the same.
Levitt also arranged for the students to speak with Matthew Winkler, editor-in-chief-emeritus of Bloomberg News, about the news industry and to tour the Bloomberg building.
Arthur Levitt Jr. is the son of the late Arthur Levitt, for whom Hamilton's Levitt Public Affairs Center is named.
