In an email to the Hamilton community on Jan. 31, Vice President of Administration and Finance Karen Leach announced the death of long-time Physical Plant employee John McGovern.
Dear Members of the Hamilton Community,
I'm writing with the sad news that long-time Physical Plant employee John McGovern died Sunday. John spent more than half his life working at Hamilton, eventually becoming manager of custodial services before retiring in 2011.
A warm, humble, and hard-working man, John was a quiet and efficient person who earned the respect of those he supervised and, in turn, respected those with whom he worked. Additional information about John, including plans for a funeral service, can be found in his obituary.
